Labia majora augmentation in Frankfurt: how does the operation work?
Injecting hyaluronic acid into the labia takes about 20 to 30 minutes and is performed by Dr. Nichlos as an outpatient procedure at his practice in Frankfurt. Before injecting the filler, we disinfect the area thoroughly and, if needed, apply a local anesthetic cream so that you feel the injections less. Dr. Nichlos then begins injecting the hyaluronic acid and contouring the labia into the desired shape. Dr. Nichlos performs the fat padding of the labia as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, twilight sedation, or general anesthesia. The procedure itself takes between 60 and 80 minutes. Healing and aftercare following labia majora augmentation: what to keep in mind
In the first days after the procedure on your labia, you should allow yourself some rest and avoid physically strenuous activities. Swelling and mild pain are normal both after injection with hyaluronic acid and after augmentation of the labia with fat transfer, and usually subside within 1 to 2 weeks.
You can treat mild pain well yourself with over-the-counter pain relievers. Gentle cooling helps against the swelling. You can shower the next day, but after lipofilling you should avoid full baths for about two weeks.
It can take several weeks to months, depending on the type of procedure, until the final result of the labia majora augmentation is visible. What risks does a labia majora augmentation involve?
Enlarging the labia is a relatively common procedure in intimate surgery. As with any surgical procedure, certain risks can never be ruled out 100%, even when it is performed professionally and strict hygiene and safety measures are followed.
